Murdoch University

AICA Engineering was tasked with the opportunity to deliver a complete system solution for an abandoned and incomplete system installation. A comprehensive analysis by our technicians enabled the redesign and the re-structuring of the wiring network, including the rectification aspects of all electrical connections.

The system analysis and optimization carried out by our teams enabled improved efficiency that delivered a smooth commissioning phase and designing layouts of the solar PV Systems installed on the Renewable Energy Department Building in Murdoch University. These systems were a mix of four different 2 kW solar modules that were installed as a practical facility for students. AICA Engineering is happy to report that the system performance is delivering as expected.

ARC Linkage Project

AICA Engineering Pty Ltd together with Curtin University and Regen Power have been awarded an Australian Research Council Linkage Grant, with a total project funding of $326,000.

The ARC Linkage Projects scheme supports collaborative research and development projects between higher education organisations and other organisations, including within industry, to enable the application of advanced knowledge to problems. This project aims to develop a remote area power supply that minimises the use of diesel in meeting the energy needs of remote communities and mining camps.

BC Irons

AICA Engineering in association with Regen Power took lead as the chief consultant and solar installer for the design, installation, testing and commissioning of a 30 kW off-grid PV system for BC Irons in Karratha.

YHA Perth City

AICA Engineering specialises in design, installation and commissioning of commercial solar projects. Working in conjunction with industry partners allows us to deliver with quality service and competitive pricing. With a fully qualified technical team in house and on ground enables us to tackle installations of any complexity through innovative solutions.

AICA Engineering has executed various commercial solar installations in and around Perth of which a 40kW system on Youth Hostel Australia (YHA) in Perth City was one among the many.

Pressco Steel

AICA Engineering was engaged to provide electrical installation services in a commercial warehouse. This included the installation of various power outlets (50 A, 32 A and 20 A), setting up of data and communication ports, electrical maintenance, switchboard set up for heavy steel fabrication machinery and testing, tagging and hard wiring heavy machinery.

AICA carried out this task with precision and within a tight time frame, enabling Pressco Steel to organise logistics and begin initiating their operations according to the schedule.

Joondalup City Council

AICA Engineering in partnership with a civil, structural and geo-engineering firm, was awarded a project by the Joondalup City Council towards the maintenance of their well known ornamental street lights.

AICA executed this job to completion within the stipulated time frame and are now in talks towards securing additional electrical contracts in the coming year.

Roy Hill Control Center, Kewdale

AICA Engineering was assigned to implement electrical fittings, wiring, equipment installation, testing and commissioning of the complete plant room (boiler and chiller) at the Roy Hill Control Centre in Kewdale.

A structured project that was successfully completed by our technicians and consulting teams.

Infant Jesus Parish, Morley

AICA Engineering and Regen Power worked together to provide this community organisation with a solar system to reduce their long-term operating costs. The following is adapted from their bulletin.

What are the costs?

Electricity costs were forecast to be

  • 2010/11 Forecast – $8,700
  • 2011/12 Forecast – $9,600
  • 2012/13 Forecast – $11,000
  • 2013/14 Forecast – $12,400

The recommended maximum system size to provide for daytime usage is 15kW. The prudent approach is to begin with a 10KW system and gauge the results.

  • Cost of 15kW System: $60,000
  • Cost of 10kW system: $40,000
  • Approximate Saving in Energy Costs: 40 – 50%

Who is the provider?

Regen Power, has also installed units in both the Whitfords and Willetton parishes, and these parishes are very happy with the results. AICA Engineering is partnering with Regen Power to conduct the actual installation of this system, which uses higher quality HanWha (German) ‘Q-Cell’ panels and inverters and is also guaranteed for 25 years.

Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital, Kerala

The renowned Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital (PMCH) one of the premier super specialty multi-disciplinary hospitals in Kerala (India) with almost 1200 beds is in the process of moving towards the use of Sustainable Energy in the form of Solar Power System with Water Treatment Plant. Shaji Mathews, was involved with Regen Power and Radiant Solar to carry out the feasibility study and submit the proposal.

We are happy to acknowledge that Radiant Solar has got this project and AICA Engineering (INDIA) worked with Radiant Solar to install and commission the system to achieve the expected outcome by the Management.

Mar Athanasios College, Kerala

The Mar Athanasios College For Advanced Studies, Thiruvalla campus, Kerala

The college has installed a 30-kW rooftop solar-power plant to generate 45,000 units (kilowatt hours) of electricity a year.

The system has got 27,600 watt panels (Wp), a 30-kW state-of-the-art bi-directional charger capable of functioning as an interactive inverter with grid-tie capability, four-member charge controllers, a 19-inch rack, and a central monitoring device package.
